Forty-two security personnel and civilians martyred. Fifty-four terrorists killed. Three major attacks across Balochistan in four days. These are not statistics. They are the names of men who woke up, put on their uniforms, and went to protect their communities without knowing they would never return.
The first assault came on the night of July 4 and 5, when Fitna al-Khawarij militants stormed the civilian population of Hanna Urak. The third attack struck an army convoy on the N-25 highway in the Bela and Winder area, where Fitna al-Hindustan, the India-backed Baloch Liberation Army, ambushed troops and martyred eleven soldiers including one Junior Commissioned Officer and ten jawans. Fourteen BLA terrorists were killed in the engagement. Additional operations in Kharan and Dalbandin neutralized a further fourteen Fitna al-Hindustan operatives. The BLA’s targeting of a military convoy on a major national highway while Fitna al-Khawarij simultaneously overran a police checkpost in Ziarat is not coincidence. It is coordination, and its architecture points to shared sanctuaries, shared training infrastructure, and shared intelligence networks operating from Afghan soil under the facilitation of hostile external factors including India’s RAW.
The dangerous nexus between Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan is now impossible to characterize as anything other than a joint campaign designed to stretch Pakistan’s security forces across multiple fronts simultaneously. The UNSC 37th Monitoring Team Report confirmed in February 2026 that BLA and TTP share training camps and coordinate attacks. Kulbhushan Yadav’s confession established India’s direct operational role in funding terrorism in Balochistan. The Bela convoy attack and the Ziarat check post assault in the same operational window are the tactical expression of that strategic convergence made visible in blood.
These acts violate every principle that Islam holds sacred. The Holy Quran states with absolute clarity that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption done in the land, it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. There is no theological framework, no political argument, and no historical grievance that transforms the murder of twenty-seven policemen sheltering their hostage colleagues into anything other than a crime against God and humanity. The Khawarij label the DG ISPR applies is historically precise: those who use violence against Muslim civilians and Muslim soldiers while claiming religious justification are exactly what the earliest Islamic jurisprudence identified as the most dangerous internal threat to the community of believers.
Pakistan has buried its martyrs before and risen from far worse. The DG ISPR’s vow that all terrorists will be brought to their logical end reflects not rhetorical defiance but operational reality: army, FC, police, and intelligence agencies are engaging simultaneously on the ground and in the air, and the fifty-four terrorists already killed in these four days confirm that the state’s response is measured in results, not promises.
Ziarat’s policemen died protecting tourists and local families in a district known for its beauty. They sacrificed their lives now it time for the structural investment, intelligence capacity, and rapid response infrastructure that ensures these terrorists don’t even dare to find a way for such misadventure.
